于2015年出版的小说《海岬的迷途之家》，2016年曾获得野间儿童文艺赏，作品描述失去居所的17岁少女，和没有血缘的新家人们在可以看见海的古民家展开了不可思议却又令人感到暖心的共同生活。本次的动画是东日本大地震灾后10年的特别企划，以震灾灾区为故事背景所制作的三部作品「永远应援。Project 2011+10…（ずっとおうえん。プロジェクト2011＋10…）」的其中一环。其他两部作品分别为《扶桑花之舞（フラ・フラダンス）》以及《爆转少年！！（バクテン！！）》。。Juan, a prison officer, silently observes the visit every Sunday of Berta, mother of one of the imates. The day he finally approaches her, he surprises himself by pretending to be another visiting father and inventing a daughter inside the jail: Josefina. The need to fill the vacuum of their lives prompts Juan and Berta to continue meeting outside the reality around them.。When miners blast for gold in the 1870's, they accidentally release ancient creatures known as Tommyknockers. The Town of Deer Creek, Nevada is soon under siege with only a handful of survivors held up in the local saloon.。
