本剧主要讲述一个不韵世事的年轻人小波为了实现心中的明星梦，投靠了阴险狡诈的老板欧阳浩，却惨被欧阳浩踢出局。心灰意冷的小波觉得世间一片灰暗，到处是险恶丑，他看不到人生的光亮，觉得未来无望。在搭档强仔的鼓励下，小波正视自己的问题。他找到了同样被欧阳浩伤害过的火火，说服了火火跟随自己一同创业，并且发奋图强，从头开始学习民间杂耍技艺，打败欧阳浩之后又不忘初心急流勇退，回归平凡的家庭生活。。Back Stage is a 1919 comedy, one of the last films that Buster Keaton would appear with Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle before they went their separate ways, Keaton would get his own studio, and Arbuckle got into feature length films.
