初春，度假的妙子（小林聪美 饰）坐飞机来到南方一个海岛小镇上，在住宿的旅馆里，她遇上了一群人：养了一条和自己同名爱犬的旅馆主人裕二（光石研 饰），戴着一副眼镜经常微笑的刨冰高手樱（罇真佐子 饰），不是旅馆客人但经常在附近转悠的高校教师春奈（市川实日子 饰）以及前来找妙子的青年艾草（加濑亮 饰）。五个人戴着眼镜每天一起在海边做奇怪的早操，然后一起吃早饭……，虽然生活平静而美好，但妙子还是决定继续旅行……。原是付家（京城三大家族之一）的独女。家族因牵扯到了文沧海的利益，文沧海设谋将她父母沉海。年幼的付柳跟着付家管家忍辱负重长大，因过目不忘文彩超群。。This series is set in the long hot summer of 1959 and wedding season is in full swing in the Cambridgeshire village of Grantchester.
