12岁的小尼克和莫瑞叔叔﹝杰森罗拔兹饰﹞同住，莫瑞总是希望多一事不如少一事，但麻烦却总爱找上他。儿童福利中心的社工们希望莫瑞能有个正常的家庭关系，否则就要将小尼克送走，他们该如何是好？。"Daughters of the Dust" tells the story of a family of African-Americans who have lived for many years on a Southern offshore island, and of how they come together one day in 1902 to celebrate their ancestors before some of them leave for the North. The film is narrated by an unborn child, and ancestors already dead also seem to be as present as the living.。
