刘武雄假释获准，是一位王警官保释他出去并且推荐他去朋友在码头的工作。武雄去父亲的墓地祭奠，给父亲带了父亲最喜欢抽的新乐园烟，在阵阵烟雾和朦胧泪眼中，武雄回忆起从前：女友美珍因为母亲去世，替父亲还债，要求离开武雄去台北赚钱，他们约定三年，武雄回家向父亲请求去台北赚钱，但是父亲断然拒绝。武雄还是背井离乡，一人来到台北，等待他的是什么呢？。Howard Tyler (Frank Lovejoy) is a family man, living in California, who can't seem to get by financially. He meets up with a small-time, but charismatic, hood Jerry Slocum (Lloyd Bridges). Soon, Slocum convinces Tyler to participate in gas station robberies to get by. Later, they kidnap a wealthy man in hopes of getting a huge ransom. Things go wrong when the man is murdered by...。
