一年一度的元宵晚会，被观众誉为春晚的“姊妹晚会”，受关注程度仅次于春晚。元宵是中国传统节日，每年农历正月十五举办，今年为新历3月5日。主要活动是晚上的观灯赏月吃元宵，后来节日名称也演化为“元宵节”。正月十五闹元宵，将从除夕开始延续的庆祝活动推向又一高潮，特别是各台举办的元宵晚会，成为元宵当晚的重头戏。。故事以男子高中生韵律体操为主题，故事舞台为日本宫城县岩沼市，主角「双叶翔太郎」在中学最后的夏天被男子韵律体操吸引，进入私立苍秀馆高等学校（通称苍高）男子韵律体操社，并与体操界新星「美里良夜」以及性格丰富的前辈们相遇，共同向同一个目标前进的热血运动故事。。Marie and Michelle are escaping from a lunatic asylum.
