王若君是名资深的护士长，在一次的偶遇中，不顾自身安危，救了惨遭歹徒毒打的刘佑乐，让佑乐对若君感恩不已。 在住院期间，佑乐获得若君的鼓励和细心照顾，决定改变自己的人生，投身成为一名护士。 与此同时，原本是软件工程师的傅家梓，也在同时候，搭友人的顺风车，发生车祸。友人Ken在车祸中身受重伤，由于家梓不懂急救，以致Ken最后失血过多身亡。 家梓内疚不已，过后决定转换跑道，报读护理课程，转当护士。这个决定让母亲周好韵大为反对，幸亏获得父亲傅国华的支持。 家梓有个弟弟家任，成绩优异，服完兵役后不想即刻继续升学，一心想要寻找人生理想的工作，绕了一大圈，最后发现了工作最大的意义，不在于外在条件，而是可以帮助到人，也让自己成长，和哥哥一样，加入护士行列。 若君的姐姐若恩也是一名护士长，性格刚烈，好打不平，对下属又非常严厉，要求很高，又很挑剔，所以人缘不是很好，屡遭病...。秦香莲的丈夫陈世美进京赶考，数年无音信。适逢家乡连遭荒旱，公婆饿死，香莲带领儿女进京寻夫。到京后，得知陈世美考中状元，并招为驸马。陈世美寿诞之日，香莲闯宫而入，陈竟昧心不认，反将香莲母子三人赶出宫去。三朝元老王延龄得知此情后，教香莲假扮唱歌词的村妇，在酒席宴前借唱戏陈，陈仍不相认，并将香莲赶出京城，暗中命家将韩琪前往杀害，以灭口。韩琪追至庙中，听香莲哭告实情，不忍杀害，毅然将香莲母子放走，自感难以复命，自刎而死。香莲悲愤已极，前往包拯处控告，包公准状后，召陈世美来与香莲对质，陈世美自恃皇亲国戚，强词狡辩。皇姑、国太也来威胁。包拯不畏权势，将陈铡死。。In this bitingly satirical film Peter Slovan, a continuous source of trouble for the film functionaries of the socialist Slovakia, tackles an evergreen topic – the corruptive effects of power. Barnabáš Kos, a triangle player at a symphonic orchestra, is suddenly promoted to serve as the head of the said institution, even though both he and his superiors deem him completely unfit for the task. Encouraged in equal parts by this unexpected recognition and the servile praise of his colleagues, Kos’s modesty starts to gradually vanish. The erstwhile bashful and aloof percussionist quickly becomes aware of the advantages of his new office, and begins to realise his increasingly ludicrous artistic ambitions. Ultimately, the submissive marionette turns into a source of public humiliation, and his astonishing career finds an abrupt end. Orchestra serves here as a microcosm that grotesquely reflects the absurd and tragicomic mechanisms of the paranoid apparatus of power.
