本故事主要讲述了方浩在过失杀死女友后，总是能看见女友复仇的画面，保外就医接受治疗时，医生发现他在犯罪后内心极度逃避罪责，又因为头部创伤而产生了解离症，并因此分裂出一个次人格来替换掉本身的主人格。本片表达了一时的冲动犯罪可能会让人终生生活在精神痛苦之中，对预防犯罪具有一定的警示作用。片中的医生吴哲小心地呵呼精神病人，为防止病人的精神奔溃，采用高超的医术和非常规的方法来治疗，体现出医者仁心的思想品质。片中的主角在被吴哲告知了主人格被替换的事实后，依然排斥真相借此来逃避心理上的罪恶感，最终病情加重完全丧失了自我。这一悲剧性的结局设定，批判了做错事不能承担起责任的逃避心理。也讲述了人如果无法直面自己的错误，有可能会丧失人格的寓言故事。。Givers of Death (G.O.D.) is an apocalyptic sci-fi tale of redemption.
