In 1974, the Portuguese and their descendants fled Angola where nationalist groups gradually claimed their territory back. A tribal girl discovers love and death when her path crosses that of a Portuguese soldier. Then, a Portuguese squad is barracked inside a wall from which they will have to escape once the past comes out of the grave to claim its long-awaited justice.。杨开慧出生于知识家庭，从小受到良好的教育。科学与民主的新思想使她成为一个进步的“新女性”。她不顾各方劝阻，与毛泽东相知相恋。婚后，她坚定地支持毛泽东的革命工作，在白色恐怖下，协助毛泽东为党做了大量工作。1930年冬，杨开慧不幸被捕。在狱中，她面对敌人的严刑拷打，宁死不屈。本片以杨开慧被捕至牺牲为第一时空，描述了这位坚贞不屈的烈士最后二十天的生活。同时又以杨开慧烈士对自己一生的回忆为第二时空，表现了这位崇高女性29年短暂而光辉的经历。两个时空有机交错，塑造了一个真实、生动、感人，独特而卓越的女性形象。。
