《网球并不可笑嘛》是 Roots 担任原作 Piyo 作画的一部无节操无厘头搞笑网球漫画，这漫画里的妹子扯淡的时间要远远大于他们好好打网球的时间。这次的外传《兔龟》是讲述兔龟高中网球部妹子们的故事，她们曾经在本篇漫画第 35 话和第 56 话登场，但是在本篇中没有任何台词，而专门讲述《兔龟》这部外传漫画是 9 月 17 日开始连载，这动画化的速度也是神速。《兔龟》的动画将由 millepensee 负责制作，这家公司负责了《网球并不可笑嘛》第 4 季到第 6 季动画的制作，而本篇动画的监督、脚本、角色设计板垣伸将担任这部外传作品的监督，而声优则是漫画连载杂志所属的 EARTH STAR Entertainment 力推的声优组合 Earth Star Dream 成员都是新人声优。。Two high level scuba-divers and long-time friends, Don and Dave, broke a world record for depth in the Boesmansgat cave in South Africa. It would take them 15 minutes to reach the bottom, but 12 hours to surface. Having reached the bottom, against all odds, they find a body. They decide to come back and retrieve it.
